Thanks to the development of modern engineering, the driver on the road is convenient and comfortable. In part, this is facilitated by various accessories with which manufacturers equip the car.
Among these accessories are necessary (spare wheel, jack, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher) and useful (auto air conditioners, mini-vacuum cleaners, portable refrigerators). But there are those whose acquisition is not justified by urgent need, they are absolutely useless for the driver and his passengers, and sometimes dangerous.
1. The “wing”
On many cars, you can see the design, which is called the "wing". Initially, it was intended to make the car more stable in corners and to increase its speed by changing aerodynamic parameters. Such "wings" found their application in racing sports, and from there migrated to conventional cars. But if racing designers make parts for each specific car, conducting aerodynamic tests, then mass manufacturers sell ordinary pieces of plastic that do not affect the speed characteristics of the car. Therefore, all that the “wing” is capable of is to attract the attention of others and close the rear view.
2. “Kenguryatnik”
In second place are the "kangarins." These are metal structures that are mounted on the hood of a car. They come from Australia, where kangaroos often cross the road for drivers. To protect the machine from damage, metal kangarins were developed. Naturally, in Russia kangaroos do not run along the roads, you can only meet them at the zoo. But in the event of a collision with another car, the fancy hood will come into a condition that is not proper for repair. There is a high probability of damage to the windshield and injuries to the driver and passengers.
3. Hood deflector
Ordinary drivers have a lot of worries. They need to keep the cars in good condition, conduct inspection and regular repairs of air conditioners, engines, wiring and other numerous parts and devices. But manufacturers of accessories do not want to leave motorists alone and offer them to purchase a hood deflector. Theoretically, the deflector should redirect the air flow from the windshield over the roof, helping to maintain cleanliness. In fact, it simply accumulates water and sand, destroying the paintwork of the hood.
4. Sports silencer
Finally, a sports silencer designed to make up for the loss of engine power. Not only is there really nowhere to accelerate in the city, the sound produced by this device is so loud and annoying that its owner will not be deprived of the appropriate reviews from others.
There are many more useless accessories for the car, and before purchasing them, it will be useful to consult with professionals.
