Forbes magazine published the top 10 highest paid athletes in the world in 2015. This group includes representatives of seven different nationalities. Together, they earned $ 124 million, including fees from personal businesses, advertising, and sponsorship tournaments.

Here's what the rating of the richest women’s sports stars looks like.

10. Agnieszka Radwan

A professional tennis player from Poland plays in a “thinking” manner, unlike many other tennis stars, relying primarily on the power of the blow. And although 2014 and 2015 were not too successful for Radvanskaya (she dropped out of the top 10 single classification for the first time in three years), she will be comforted by $ 6 million. Moreover, 4 million dollars of this amount were received from advertising.

9. Stacy Lewis

In 2014, Lewis received the title of Best Player of the Women's Professional Golfers Association twice in three years. Many business giants collaborate with her, such as Marathon Petroleum, Bridgestone, Mizuno and others. Sports and advertising brought Lewis $ 6.4 million in revenue.

8. Rhonda Rosie

Judoka and American star MMA, who twice defended the title of champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC), became a newcomer to the ranking. Her profit this year amounted to 6.5 million dollars. In addition to sports, Rosie successfully makes a film career. She appeared in the movie The Expendables 3 in the role of the Moon, the former bouncer and the beginning mercenary. And in the movie "Fast and the Furious 7" played Kara, the head of security.

7. Simone Halep

She won three tournaments in early 2015. Thanks to this, as well as sponsorship contracts with Adidas, Wilson and other corporations, the Romanian tennis player earned $ 6.8 million.

6. Petra Kvitova

The father and brothers of this 25-year-old Czech tennis player also play tennis. However, they are lovers, and Petra is a professional. And this is confirmed by victories at the Wimbledon tournament in 2011 and 2014, and wins in all individual meetings at the Hopman Cup in 2014. This, as well as contracts with Wilson, Nike and Ritmo Mundo, provided Petr Kvitov with an impressive amount of $ 7.7 million.

5. Ana Ivanovich

Unlike the two tennis stars on the list in front of her, Ana Ivanovich made the most of her profit last year ($ 6.5 million) from sponsors such as Adidas, Shiseido and Dubai Duty. Free In combination with the $ 1.8 million that Ivanovich earned on the court last year, this Serbian athlete has a total of $ 8.3 million.

4. Danica Patrick

In addition to numerous tennis players, one of the top ten highest-paid women athletes was one American race car driver. While her main sponsor, GoDaddy, recently announced that he will leave NASCAR at the end of the year, Forbes believes that Patrick’s return to the Stewart-Haas Racing team will give her many new sponsors. In the meantime, she will have to be content with the amount of 13.9 million dollars earned from June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2015.

3. Caroline Wozniacki

The year 2015 for the Danish tennis player was eventful. She appeared in the bathing issue of Sports Illustrated and ran the New York City Marathon. Despite these events, Wozniacki found time to advertise Godiva chocolates and Lavazza coffee. Candy and coffee profits amounted to 11 million dollars. The athlete received another 3.6 million dollars from her performances on the court. Her total income is $ 14.6 million.

2. Serena Williams

Despite her dominance on the tennis court, Serena Williams took second place in the list of athletes with the highest incomes. Last year, she earned $ 11.6 million from victories in professional tennis and $ 13 million from advertisements for PepsiCo, Chase, and Audemars Piguet. Williams' total annual revenue was $ 24.6 million.

1. Maria Sharapova

The richest athlete in the world. The Russian tennis player can sometimes play the second violin, giving the championship to Serena Williams on the tennis court, but in the ranking of the highest paid athletes in 2015 she is an unrivaled leader. Sharapova’s earnings over the past 12 months amounted to $ 29.2 million.
